Michael Guasco is professor and chair of the Department of History at Davidson College. He is a specialist in the history of early America and teaches courses covering the colonial and Revolutionary periods, the early South, and the histories of race and slavery. He is the author of Slaves and Englishmen: Human Bondage in the Early Modern Atlantic World (2014).
