Ron Schmidt was a Fulbright scholar at the University of Montreal (2005) and has taught as an adjunct professor at Davidson College since 2013. His teaching and research fields are racial and ethnic politics and public policy. He authored an award-winning book on language policy and identity politics, coauthored a book on the impact of recent immigrants on US racial politics, and has published numerous book chapters and articles on racial politics, language policy, and immigration policy.
