Michael Shields served Temple Kol Tikvah of Lake Norman from 2008 to 2018. He was the first full-time rabbi in the Lake Norman region. He was ordained by the Reform Movement in 2008. He is committed to the ideals of the Reform movement, and those principles provided a framework for Temple Kol Tikvah.
